    Oh my goodness! Congratulations!

And if I may judge by the way you write about your husband and your own parents, you and Gareth will be great at parenthood: you seem to know how to do "family."

Best wishes to all of you.

    ...but what will Mika say?

Word: xersequ. Baby's first word? Probably means, "tell me another story, mama!"

ooh, so happy for you. And I can hardly wait to hear just how much Mika's nose will be put out of joint by the discovery that there is another household god -- a god who has usurped her.

Your computer broke, and you are only able to produce low quality grainy images?

  9. Congratulations! What wonderful news! And I totally echo my co-Marylander Amaryllis' remarks above. Yeah, lucky child, definitely.

Verification word "sultiog," which I believe refers to a state of mind in which one's nose is a bit out of joint. Cats who discover that they are no longer the center of attention are said to be acting somewhat sultiog. After a while, they realize the little one is really a very pleasant, warm creature to cuddle up with and start feeling dwembly.

Oh my! Well done! It couldn't have happened to a nicer couple. Best of luck in the months, years and decades ahead.

  13. Congratualtions!

Everyone I know seems to be having babies - is there something in the water? Or are we all so poor from the credit crunch that we're staying in, turning off the lights and central heating and amusing ourselves for free?
